PROGRAMS
The Storehouse is focused on extending support to our neighbors struggling with food and financial insecurity. We accomplish this in many different ways. Find out more below.

Food Distribution
We distribute nutritious food, including fresh produce, bread, meat, and dairy, weekly to our neighbors in the greater Covington community.

Backpack Buddies
We partner with the Covington Rotary and Kentwood High School to distribute 200+ weekend meals to students in Covington schools.

Resource Fair
Every August we partner with Red Canoe for their #FilltheCanoe school supply drive to provide supplies and equip students for the upcoming year. Beyond school supplies, local organizations and nonprofits have booths to provide information and resources for families.

Christmas Store
Our Christmas Event - Will be 12/10/22 and Sign ups are in-person during regular food distribution hours the month prior.

Community Garden
Every year plants and seeds are donated by Home Depot and Kent East Hill Nursery, Volunteers plant, weed, and harvest fresh fruits and vegetables for the families we serve.

Free Little Pantry
We are part of the Free Little Pantry Network for those in need of emergency food during non-distribution days.

Ministries
We currently serve eight different ministries including community meal and rehabilitation programs. In providing food for these programs, we help feed over 2000 individuals weekly, and serve the greater community.

Bicycles
Bicycle Rescue for Youth is a local nonprofit that we partner with. They distribute bicycles to kids and adults in need the second Saturday of the month, April through October.

Home Delivery
Every other Saturday volunteers pack boxes of food and distribute it to neighbors who are home bound. Specific requirements must be met for this service.
